A "real" and proven home business opportunity, in the form of Network Marketing, requires focus, positive thinking, hard work, brain power, creativity, salesmanship, honesty, client service, a high level of personal ethics, dedication to "cold" market lead generation, and consistent follow up with leads. Is there anyone that believes otherwise? I make a very good living at what I am doing, yet the common perception is that it is all a scam!

I'm happy to hear that you are having success, good news is always nice to hear. The problem with the home business is not neccessarily the business itself, but all the scams that commonly do come with them. I have been looking for a home-based business that doesn't come off as a scam for quite some time. Unfortunately, most opportunities either don't give enough information (scary, lack of info=bad idea in my opinion), just want your money (several places I've tried to contact don't exist, the "business" was a front to get people to send them money for the idea, or to 'take over'), or the company you are going to do the work for has lackluster help if any at all. Also, network marketing is a rather new term I think, that used to be called pyramiding, which isn't allowed anymore. I know the set up is different than the old pyramid idea, but the concept is still kind of the same, and a lot of people never did like the old Amway way of doing things. From what I have seen, as soon as you mention a pay off that is 'pyramid' in shape, you will loose people. But, if you fully believe in what you are doing, then don't worry about the opinions of others, your success will eventually show through and those people will be regretting not hearing you out. Keep up the work, and send me some info on that business!

Network Marketing is a business scheme whereby you "recruit" users or sellers of the product and subsequently take a % of profit from the product's sales. Similarly, the person you recruit also can recruit more person under him or her and gain the same benefit. Commission schemes of different MLM (multi level marketing) company differ but their general principal are the same

Normally these business work by way of mouth rather than advertising, which is why you have no idea they exist. Amway by far is the largest and the most established network followed by many other. Some people do consider these business as pyramid scheme but in essence these company "convert" advertising dollar to revenue for consumers who participate in their scheme

I am looking for a LEGITIMATE work from home employment opportunity, one that does NOT require an investment of any kind, does NOT involve selling, marketing, envelope stuffing, survey taking or creating an internet business or any other business.

Real jobs for real pay with real company benefits working from home. I have a complete office with separate fax number, copy machine and 3 computers, all networked together and connected to the internet.

My wife is severely disabled and needs 24/7 in home care, she suffers from Secondarily Generalized, Left-Temporal, Epileptic Seizure Disorder, and she has anywhere from 3 – 6 seizures a day. After a seizure she needs someone she recognizes to be with her or else she doesn’t respond very well, she has had 6 inter-cranial brain surgeries in 7 years trying to correct the problem, with no success. This is why working form home is so important, it would allow me to make needed income and care for her at the same time.

Does anyone know a good internet link that would list positions such as what I’ve described above? Or know of any companies that hire individuals to work from home? I have well over 10 years of office, management and IT support experience. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I went to a website that has a new network marketing company that uses DNA testing to create your product.

Has anyone heard about this?? Is this a good idea? It is very interesting.

GeneWize does look interesting. There are many great products and services offered through Network Marketing.
I would suggest that you study the comp plan and research the product prior to committing. If you can not get a copy of the comp plan through a rep then you can consult the company. In is necessary by law to present the comp plan prior to contracting.
Many times the applicant fails to read the fine print. i suggest that you research the industry as well. Using traditional business building tactics works for few.

I am disable and need a second income. I wnat to find some work at home. I do not want to join any MLM/Network Marketing. Once i establsh a business, does anyone konw any seach engine or programs to promote you business.

I think you should find what you're good at first. When you figure that out you can either create a product or offer a service that allows you to use your best skills.
If you want specific suggestions from us, it would be good if you put down what you're abilities are.
And if you can't come up with anything specific, then google small business ideas and deduct from there.
Once you establish it, you should make a website and put keywords into a whole bunch of search engines.
